She is one of his closest friends and has played an important part in SRK’s success story. Juhi paired opposite SRK in Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman at a stage of his career when no big actress was ready to work with him. Later when Juhi and Shah Rukh Khan became a hit pair they did not restrict themselves to acting but also ventured into film Production with their production house called Dreamz Unlimited. Now these good friends are good business partners too. SRK and Juhi have joined hands for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan who played best buddies in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai are very good friends in real life too. Their onscreen chemistry has been appreciated a lot. This hot pair has given hit films like Baazigar, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Karan Arjun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham. The duo will next be seen in Karan Johar’s My Name is Khan.
They first paired opposite each other in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. After that the pair became very popular and was seen together in films like Chalte Chalte, Veer Zaara, Paheli, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. Both Rani and Shah Rukh share good rapport off screen too. Rani made a special appearance in his Om Shanti Om.
MALAIKA ARORA KHAN
Their first item song Chaiyya Chaiyya in Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se became a massive hit. After that SRK and Malaika became a hit pair for item numbers. Both were last seen in an item number for Kaal. She was also part of Shah Rukh’s world tour Temptations Reloaded.
Piggy Chops first paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Don. Though they haven’t done many films together both are good friends in real life. Priyanka has done an item song in Billu just for SRK.
Lara became part of his friends list when she agreed to play a small role in his home production Billu. The same role was rejected by many actresses because of the tiny length of the character. After working with SRK, Lara couldn’t stop talking about King Khan who personally arranged accommodation for the actress who was shooting in Tamil Nadu. Lara was also seen in an item number in SRK’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
She was one of the lucky newcomers who made their debut opposite King Khan. Deepika paired opposite SRK in Om Shanti Om later she did an item number for his home production Billu.
Anushka is the latest addition to the list of those lucky debutants who managed to get their first film opposite King Khan. Her debut film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was a big launch. With her entry in SRK’s good books Anushka has just bagged an opportunity to judge and select cheerleaders on SRK’s reality show Knights and Angles.
Karan Johar with Shah Rukh Khan More Pics
But SRK, who has been utilising the said time to be with his children, read scripts and catch up on his other reading, is all set to resume shooting from March 19, with friend Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan.
Though no one is talking about SRK’s return plans as yet, it’s reliably learnt that SRK will begin with dramatic scenes as he cannot do strenuous scenes or fight sequences for a while. Since Karan’s is the only film Shah Rukh has on the floors, he will be shooting at his own pace and rhythm, without the risk of having to do anything that could strain his shoulder. Later, during the year, Shah Rukh will be starting Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2 with Priyanka Chopra, who incidentally is one of SRK’s costars to have kept a constant tab on the star’s health progress.
While refusing to talk about Shah Rukh’s return to shooting, Karan says, “All I’ll say is SRK’s health is of utmost importance. Films will come and go. He needs to be well.”
Karan says My Name Is Khan is the most important Johar-Khan collaborative vehicle. SRK is a very active part of My Name Is Khan in terms of its making and marketing, apart from keeping tabs on the finances of the project.
Laughs Karan, “I tend to go a bit crazy with money. SRK is an active producer. It’s an important film for both me and SRK. Again, it’s an emotional bonding. This was a film I wanted to make with and for SRK. I want it to be an endeavour that should take both of us forward together.”
Juicy Mausi seems to be back in action with the latest from SRK's stable. According to the buzz, Shah Rukh Khan will star in a Marathi film or two in the future. A certain political party wants Marathi cinema to be raised to a much higher level.
It is believed this party wants Marathi films to be larger than life, a la Bollywood. They want an award ceremony like the Filmfare Awards, and are planning on roping in Badshah Khan for some of their films, as his presence will guarantee a superb opening. What has been widely heard is the actor might not charge his fees for acting in these movies, since he might not want to invite trouble anytime in the future.
While it is uncertain if the superstar is aware of their plans, it has also been heard that Marathi actors in Bollywood will be approached too. These will include the likes of Nana Patekar and Makrand Deshpande, who will be more than willing to contribute to Marathi cinema.
So, we don't know how good SRK's Marathi is, but here's to let you know and be prepared for the arrival of Shah Rukh Khan - The Marathi Manoos!
Much has been speculated about Shahrukh Khan ’s role in director Mudassar Aziz’s film Dulha Mil Gaya .
The latest bit of rumour says the superstar plays the God of love in the Vivek Vaswani-produced film which has been in the making for god knows how long! SRK doesn’t play a naked winged boy with bow and arrow in hands. He rather plays a serene God of love who even indulges in some stunts.
It can be recalled that while shooting one of these stunts, SRK injured his shoulder and had to recently undergo a surgery at a Mumbai hospital.
However, SRK doesn’t play a central role in ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’. He’s not even second fiddle to the lead hero Fardeen Khan .
Sources say SRK has just a guest appearance that’s restricted to a few scenes and a song that’s yet to be shot on SRK, Fardeen and the film’s leading lady, Sushmita Sen .
The film got stuck on floors after producer Vivek Vaswani increased SRK’s role from a cameo to a full-fledged one, much to the dismay of the superstar who’s apparently doing the film for free since Vaswani is, or at least was, his friend.
Australian pop sensation Kylie Minogue refused to meet superstar Shah Rukh Khan, and has even put up a 'No Entry' sign on the sets to discourage fans from coming to the set.
SRK reportedly expressed his desire to meet the singer-actress after reading an interview in which Kylie calls Om Shanti Om one of her favourite Bollywood films. A source close to the production house told the Mumbai Mirror, "Shah Rukh's office tried getting in touch with her after reading an interview in which Kylie calls Shah Rukh Khan's Om Shanti Om as one of her favourite Bollywood films,.
However, Kylie flatly refused. Her manager instead conveyed to Shah Rukh that the meeting could only happen at the completion party of the film, which happened last night. This is not the first time that Kylie has snubbed a Bollywood star. Earlier, even Anusha Dandekar, who had gone with Zayed Khan, was denied entry on the sets by Kylie’s security.”
